Terms
The operating rules for using Bilbis, connecting engineering systems, reviewing AI-generated work, and managing subscription access.
Accepting these terms
These Terms of Service govern access to bilbis.ai, Bilbis accounts, pilots, trials, and the Bilbis AI engineering service. By creating an account, signing an order form, joining a workspace, or using the service, you agree to these Terms on behalf of yourself and, if applicable, the organization you represent. If a signed agreement or order form applies, it controls where it conflicts with these Terms.
What Bilbis provides
Bilbis provides AI-assisted software engineering workflows, including ticket intake, repository analysis, code changes, pull request generation, review support, QA assistance, reporting, and related integrations. The service is designed to help engineering teams prepare work for human review; it does not replace customer review, testing, security assessment, or deployment approval.
Accounts and administration
- You must provide accurate account, billing, and workspace information and keep it current.
- You are responsible for users invited to your workspace and for permissions granted to connected tools.
- You must protect credentials, API keys, access tokens, and administrator accounts.
- You must notify Bilbis promptly if you suspect unauthorized access or compromise.
Customer data and ownership
Customer retains all rights to Customer Data, including tickets, prompts, repository content, code, comments, logs, artifacts, and outputs submitted to or generated through the service. Customer grants Bilbis the limited rights needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, support, and improve the service. Customer is responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to submit Customer Data and connect third-party systems.
AI output and human review
- Bilbis may generate code, summaries, comments, tests, configuration changes, and other engineering output.
- AI output can be incomplete, inaccurate, insecure, duplicative, or unsuitable for a particular environment.
- Customer is responsible for reviewing, testing, approving, and deploying any output before production use.
- Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, Bilbis does not guarantee that output will be error-free, secure, non-infringing, or fit for a particular purpose.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to violate law, contracts, third-party rights, or platform rules.
- Do not submit malware, exploit code, credentials, regulated data, or sensitive personal data unless your agreement and workspace controls permit it.
- Do not bypass rate limits, security controls, usage caps, access controls, or audit logging.
- Do not use the service to build or operate harmful systems, unauthorized surveillance, credential theft, spam, or abusive automation.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, benchmark for publication, resell, or provide a competing service using Bilbis except as allowed in writing.
Third-party services
The service connects with customer-selected code hosts, ticket trackers, CI systems, communication tools, AI providers, payment processors, and other third-party services. Customer controls which integrations are enabled and is responsible for third-party terms, permissions, fees, data handling, and availability. Bilbis is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
Trials, fees, and payment
Bilbis aims to disclose material commercial terms before charge authorization and to make cancellation instructions available through the account, order process, or customer support.
- Fees, plan limits, billing frequency, AI usage charges, and renewal terms are described at checkout, in the product, or in the applicable order form.
- Trial or pilot access may be limited, changed, or ended according to the offer terms or order form.
- Customer authorizes Bilbis or its payment processor to charge approved fees and applicable taxes.
- Unless the applicable order form says otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Subscriptions may renew until cancelled under the applicable plan or order terms. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not refund prior periods unless required by law.
Security and availability
Bilbis uses reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect the service and Customer Data. Customer remains responsible for its own repositories, deployments, secrets, environments, connected systems, and user permissions. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, incidents, provider outages, beta changes, or events outside Bilbis control.
Confidential information
Each party may receive non-public business, technical, product, security, financial, or other confidential information from the other. The receiving party will use confidential information only to perform under the applicable agreement, protect it with reasonable care, and disclose it only to personnel, providers, advisers, or contractors who need access and are bound by confidentiality obligations.
Bilbis technology
Bilbis and its licensors retain all rights in the service, software, models, workflows, interfaces, designs, documentation, know-how, and underlying technology. No rights are granted except as expressly stated. Feedback may be used by Bilbis without restriction or obligation, provided Bilbis does not disclose Customer Confidential Information in doing so.
Privacy and data processing
The Privacy Policy explains how Bilbis handles personal information. The Data Processing Addendum applies when incorporated into an agreement and Bilbis processes Customer Personal Data on behalf of a customer. Customer is responsible for providing notices and obtaining rights or consents required for Customer Data submitted to the service.
Warranty disclaimer
Except as expressly stated in a signed agreement, the service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent allowed by law, Bilbis disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement. Bilbis does not warrant that the service or output will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free.
Limits of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Bilbis will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption. Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, Bilbis aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amounts paid by customer to Bilbis for the service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to liability.
Suspension and termination
Bilbis may suspend or limit access if needed to protect the service, comply with law, prevent harm, address non-payment, or respond to suspected misuse. Either party may terminate as allowed in the applicable order form or agreement. After termination, access to the service may end and Customer Data will be handled under the applicable agreement, Privacy Policy, and DPA.
Governing law and disputes
Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, these Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law rules. The parties will first try to resolve disputes informally through good-faith business escalation. If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and each party consents to those courts.
Changes to these terms
Bilbis may update these Terms as the service and legal requirements change. If a change is material, Bilbis will take reasonable steps to notify affected customers or users. Updated Terms apply prospectively unless a signed agreement states otherwise.
